During the visit, Prof. Berger shared with audience his latest understanding in paleo-astromony and –climate entitled “Does MIS-13 challenge the astronomical theory?” Known for his research on the astronomical theory of paleoclimates, the so-called Milankovitch theory, this communication is conducive to further exploration of the role and mechanisms of Tibetan Plateau uplift in global climate changes.
Dr. Yin also reported on her research entitled “Relative contributions of insolation and CO2 to the interglacial climates of the past 800,000 years”.
