Participants: about 20 Chinese scientists from ITP, about 12 German scientists, representatives of DFG,MPG,NSFC and CAS
Objectives: · mutual information of the Chinese and German partners about the respective research expertise and research interests concerning the joint Sino-German research on the Tibetan Plateau; · discussion (a) of possible joint research projects which can be realized very soon and (b) of a bigger joint research programme which could be established in two or three years; this includes the identification of the Sino-German partners in the respective disciplines; · development of an agenda and of a schedule for the realization of the envisaged joint projects and research programme.
