The Bureau of Personnel and Education of CAS recently made the announcement that three of ITP professors had been selected into CAS “100 Talents Project”. They are Prof. Zhao Junmeng, Prof Kang Shichang, and Prof. Yi Chaolu.

Prof. Zhao Junmeng is mainly engaged in research on lithosphere structure and dynamics. He has been conducting research on the geodynamics of the Tibetan Plateau for years, and has successfully synthesized geophysics and geology in his research through integrative geophysical methods. He has published over 70 dissertations in national and international publications. Prof. Kang Shichang is engaged in research on snow-ice chemistry and climatic and environmental records recovered from snow and ice over the Tibetan Plateau region. Among his academic dissertations 27 are embodied by SCI. Now he plans to conduct further research on glacial fluctuation and climatic and environmental records recovered from snow and ice in typical glacial regions on the Tibetan Plateau. Prof. Yi Chaolu is engaged in research on geomorphology and Quaternary environment. He is a senior scientist in Quaternary glacier research, and has published many academic papers in that field.
