Mr. GUO Xing, deputy-chief of the Tibet Earthquake Bureau (TEB), and ZHANG Jun, director of TEB Center for Earthquake Monitoring and Forecast, visited the ITP at Beijing on July 24, 2010.
They were invited to exchange notes on tracing approaches of major earthquakes in east Tibet recently. Communications convinced both the TEB and ITP that each side was facilitated with its own advantages. Thus cooperation thereupon would be conducted in aspects of monitoring and forecast of earthquakes on the Tibetan Plateau, so as to promote current understanding in the earthquake activity over the plateau region.
