SETORS welcomes 19 undergraduates from the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, School of Physics, Peking University, on June 29-30, 2011.

Besides general introduction of the station by Dr. WANG Yongjie, ITP Prof. LIANG Eryuan doing regular monitoring on the station was invited to introduce his monitoring of forest tree lines on Mt Seche Lha, and CAREERI Dr. GU Lianglei was invited to introduce methods in atmospheric observation.

Visiting graduates were also shown around in the station and its surrounding areas, to witness the natural environment and present living status of Tibetans, as well as to experience Tibetan customs and food.

 

The visit of those graduates to SETORS was within the framework of the cooperation MoU between ITP and Peking University to jointly cultivate young scholars.
