In the recently released list by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), ITP Prof.KANG Shichang wins the 2012 Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. This fund totals 2 million RMB, and will allow him to continue his long-engaged research in Tibetan Plateau snow-ice and atmospheric chemistry, paleo-climate and paleo-environment interpretations from Tibetan Plateau ice core records.
