Course of Model calibration and predictive uncertainty analysis given at ITP

Dr. YE Ming, associate Professor of Florida State University was invited by ITP Prof. ZHANG Fan to present a course on model calibration and predictive uncertainty analysis. Given on May 23-24, 2012, the course attracted over 30 graduate staff.

Dr. Ye talked about detailed mathematical calibration during the course. He elaborated on sensitivity analysis, model calibration and uncertainty analysis from their basic theories to application. Focuses were also laid on non-linear regression model and Bayesian model. Besides theories, he asked audience to practice on their own computers to get familiarized with software such as ModelMuse and UCODE. He also conducted deepened academic exchanges with audience on detailed approaches in model calibration.
