Called upon by CAS academian Prof. YAO Tandong, a special session will be held at ITP Beijing from 9.00 am til noon, November 16, 2010, to witness a series of academic reports on the responses of Tibetan lakes to climate changes on the plateau.
Experienced scientific staff in Tibetan lake study will be present, making academic presentation about their latest study on the issue, discussing current popular academic questions and coming up with new ideas and approaches in better appreciating the responses of Tibetan lakes to climate change now undergone on the plateau region.
Reporters will be from a variety of research institutions and a wide range of academic backgrounds, including Profs YAO Tandong, ZHU Liping, and YE Qinghua from ITPCAS, Prof. SHENG Yongwei from University of California Los Angeles, Prof. ZHANG Hucai from Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, and Prof. LI Bingyuan from Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research.
